Mission of the Canadian Journal of Nursing Informatics

CJNI The Mission of The Canadian Journal of Nursing Informatics is to provide a peer-reviewed venue for members of the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association, and other researchers who work with Nursing Informatics to disseminate their research, essays, reviews, presentations, multimedia and other digital publishable materials on a global scale. We have decided to offer this journal free of charge in order to make informatics research and theory openly available to all Canadian nurses.

We encourage researchers, educators, and experimenters at all levels of expertise to feel confident in submitting their work for review. It is our mission to support fledgling as well as seasoned researchers in showcasing their work within the on-line environment.

Our Purpose

The Canadian Nursing Informatics Association (CNIA) exists to help nurses across Canada to learn, share, research, and create informatics-related projects and experiences that can help to boost the competencies, theory, and practice of informatics on a national level. As part of our commitment to our members, the idea of a Canadian Journal of Nursing Informatics (CJNI) was conceived, an on-line publication that would be available to anyone interested in the evolving field of Canadian nursing informatics.

To provide an expert foundation and management team, a robust Editorial Board has been configured. The Board is ready to work with authors to showcase their work in an expert and professional manner. In the coming months and years, we intend to continue to develop the CJNI into a dynamic vehicle to express the voice for Nursing Informatics that is championed by CNIA and lived by many nurses both in Canada, and around the globe.
